PRODUCT DESIGN and the ability to exploit it's potential is what makes it so powerful a tool in the development of virtually any type of product. Strong design capability afford one to concentrate and explore specific purpose and function or explore the look and feel of a product before any product is ever built or proto-typed.
Today modern manufactures and developers utilize design as a form or proto-typing or in more extensive projects it serves as a pre-proto-type platform that permits a cost effective evaluation process.
In recent years my efforts have been concentrated on product design issues surrounding the banking industry through Wingenback Inc. in which we service design and manufacture a vast range of products for all the major banks in Canada and several of the largest American banks.
My primary tasks revolve around blending the aesthetic and marketing needs of the client with the cost effective production needs involved in manufacturing. A role which is extremely rewarding as I am involved most commonly in new products and the development of concepts after which they are turned over to the engineering team and subsequently manufactured, shipped and installed at the customers various locations.
